What You'll Do

  • You'll work closely with a team of DevOps Engineers to design, build, and maintain the platform for our production systems using AWS, Kubernetes, CDK, and Cross-plane.

  • Follow and push our strict Infrastructure-as-a-Code / GitOps approach on AWS

  • Help us improving our development workflows.

  • Collaborate transparently with a variety of internal stakeholders in the form of demos, presentations and documentation.

  • Additionally, you'll pair with engineers from various delivery teams to support multiple environments and work to improve code infrastructure, continuous testing, and security.

  • Take part in the transition to use Gardener managed clusters, CrossPlane framework and working with the SAP Business Technology Platform.

What You'll Bring

  • You are skilled in using one or more programming languages, such as Go, Python, or NodeJS/Typescript.

  • You have experience setting up and administering AWS Services (EC2, IAM, S3, VPC, Route 53), preferably with IaC tools such as CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.

  • You know how to maintain and debug Kubernetes clusters, including using tools like Helm or Kustomize.

  • You have experience or willingness to learn service meshes with Kubernetes & Istio

  • Apply software engineering practices like GitOps, CI/CD, and TDD. Having experience in one of the following tools ArgoCD, CircleCI, or GitHub actions.

  • Have a good experience in Linux, including Bash scripting.

  • You understand concepts of High Availability, Scalability, Security, and Disaster Recovery.

Above all, you'll be a strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude, thriving with feedback, and understand that we can only succeed as a distributed team. You'll dislike manual changes to infrastructure and will fight for simplicity, automation, always ensuring that untested changes do not make their way into production.
