How you’ll spend your day
  • Develop and execute strategic positioning and communication programming for internal and external stakeholders to drive forward the company’s strategy and promote Teva’s purpose, support the business, strengthen Teva’s reputation, and build employee pride.
  • Lead executive thought leadership for R&D, pipeline and business development communications, and internal engagement activities in alignment with enterprise communication objectives.
  • Engage and collaborate with business partners across the drug development value chain to synthesize Teva’s work in core therapeutic areas while also championing the company’s leadership in generics medicines.
  • Collaborate with business partners, corporate affairs, and human resources to generate greater excitement around our science, pipeline, and patient-centric approach for internal and external audiences across multiple channels.
  • Monitor and analyze communication performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of messaging and materials.
  • Develop and implement high-quality, integrated internal communications strategies that advance enterprise-wide and Global R&D and Business Development business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Global Corporate Affairs, Human Resources and other cross-functional teams to execute programming and ensure consistent messaging across the organization.
  • Foster strong connections between senior leaders, employees, culture and business performance through multimedia communications and engagement initiatives such as town halls and leader forums.
  • Design and execute inspiring engagement programs in partnership with human resources to connect employees with the company's culture, strategy, and innovation.
  • Measure and analyze communication and engagement metrics to continuously improve communication strategies.
  • Support the development and amplification of executive communications to enhance the visibility and influence of Head of Global R&D and Chief Medical Officer, Head of Business Development and senior R&D and Business Development leaders.
  • Craft and deliver external executive communications to inspire confidence in the company's pipeline among key external audiences.
  • Provide strategic communications counsel to senior leaders, with close partnership with the Head of Global R&D and Chief Medical Officer and Head of Business Development.
  • Serve as key partner to announce and position collaborations, deals, and acquisitions internally and externally in partnership with Business Development.
  • Develop and execute public relations strategies to manage pipeline news flow for key data and development milestones to promote the company's neuroscience, immunology, and rare disease pipelines while simultaneously touting drug development expertise in generics medicines.
  • Actively participate as a member of the R&D HR team, collaborating and supporting people, culture and leader initiatives.
  • Manage internal relationships and implement regular touchpoints with relevant team members to track and plan for key data releases and other milestones.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Affairs team to ensure consistent and transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders across a broad spectrum of multimedia channels.
  • Drive innovative approaches to pipeline news flow management by closely tracking best and emerging communication practices.
Your experience and qualifications

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • A master’s degree in communications, journalism or life sciences is a plus.
  • A minimum of 15 years of corporate communications experience and at least 5 years of relevant experience in pipeline, product/brand or scientific communications in the Pharma industry.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive experience in communications leadership roles with proven ability in executive communications, public relations and organizational communications in R&D, Business Development and partner communications.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful communication strategies.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing and dynamic business environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with clinicians, doctors and scientists.
  • Proficiency in creating messaging and content for various communication channels using digital communication tools and platforms.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • International and domestic travel should be expected up to 20% of the time.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Frequent:

  • Sitting for extended periods of time at workstation or using mobile equipment
  • Using fingers to perform activities such as typing

Visual Acuity:

  • Close visual acuity to perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data and extensive reading.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work will be conducted mainly in an office environment
