About the role
The Finance Regulatory Engagement Communications and Reporting Senior Vice President is a strategic professional who will lead the development of key regulatory updates and internal governance reporting for the Finance Regulatory Engagement team. As a strong project manager adept at working in cross-functional teams, you will prepare materials related to a wide-range of financial- and risk-related topics. Tactics include both long- and short-forms of written material, presentations and talking points. You will be developing content that requires a high degree of fact-finding, structural editing and technical precision. This role requires thought leadership, strong diplomacy and communication skills in order to lead colleagues across the firm in producing materials that are transparent, comprehensive and clear.
Responsibilities:
Contributes to the engagement and oversight of Citi’s Finance global regulatory agenda, including:
- Building and maintaining narratives that explain end goals, iterative progress and the underlying benefits for to the firm as remediation efforts mature.
- Coordinating and collaborating with partners throughout the firm to storyboard or translate ideas from multiple sources into comprehensive, cohesive presentations, reports or other materials for engagement with regulators (e.g., narrative prose, bullet points, PowerPoint presentations)
- Maintaining a content library, so that messaging can be applied consistently across regulatory documents; manage ongoing updates and version control.
- Proactively building project plans, informing stakeholders of actions and deadlines, following up as needed—taking ownership of the overall delivery of the end product.
- Analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to tease out a compelling narrative story.
- Responding to feedback and adjusting communications content accordingly.
- Reporting project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans.
- Regularly interacting with peers within the firm and externally, including regulators and professional organizations.
- Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
- Appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in financial services, regulatory engagement or consulting.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and speaking skills, as well as creative ability to devise communication strategies.
- Requires communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide and influence others.
- Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- In depth knowledge of banking products / systems highly preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Focus areas may include business administration, finance, economics, law, policy.
