About the Role

The Finance Internal Reporting and Communications Vice President is a strategic professional who keeps management and internal stakeholders informed on the status of regulatory responses, internal reporting, monitoring and governance. In this role, you will create reports, templates and tools to identify, monitor, communicate and escalate regulatory activities, trends, risks and feedback. Leveraging material created by other team members, you will assemble content into visually appealing SharePoint intranet sites, newsletters and PowerPoint decks. This role requires thought leadership, strong diplomacy and communication skills in order to guide teams on following risk management and controls practices and internal reporting protocols.

Responsibilities:

Contributes to the engagement and oversight of Citi’s Finance global regulatory agenda, including:

  • Plays a part in settling and operating necessary forums and frameworks to establish and govern processes for Finance Regulatory Engagement & Oversight, including exam management, regulatory reporting, meetings and requests for information.
  • Supports key stakeholders in writing regulatory responses and coordinating feedback among internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity, consistency and accuracy.
  • Creates and maintains internal communications, including SharePoint intranet sites, newsletters and PowerPoint decks for internal reporting to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Proactively builds project plans, informing stakeholders of actions and deadlines, following up as needed—taking ownership of the overall delivery of the end product.
  • Coordinates across Citi Finance functions to develop cohesive and comprehensive responses to regulatory inquiries, on a timely basis.
  • Organizes meetings and agendas, takes meeting minutes and follows up with team members on completing action items.

Process and Controls:

  • Ensure standards are maintained and followed related to the management of regulatory interactions, including exam management, regulatory meetings and requests for information.
  • Maintains and consistently updates comprehensive inventory of supervisory issues and provides oversight and tracking of commitments to ensure consistent and timely resolution of deliverables.
  • Drives ongoing consistency and alignment to enterprise regulatory engagement standards, and coordinate deliverables across Finance business functions.
  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

  • Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10+ years of relevant experience financial services, regulatory engagement or consulting, particularly involving writing and copy-editing.
  • Proven leadership in managing documents and timely deliverables.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Requires communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide and influence others.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Understanding and application of project management methodologies across delivery life cycle.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
  • Extremely proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; database and report writing knowledge is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Focus areas may include business administration, finance, law, policy.
