Key roles & responsibilities for Writing System and System Interaction Engineer (Large Format Printer) are listed below.
· This role involves leading tests on the printer system to demonstrate PHA and/or Ink baseline performance. For example: Nozzle health, edge roughness, spray, decap, flowrate, color and other print quality metrics will be the standard performance metrics to monitor while looking for pen/ink/printer related interaction issues.
· Pen fluidic and ink characterization (example: DW, DV, Refill, DBOS analysis). The WS engineer will collaborate with fluidic architects or pen product engineers to gather data illustrating the expected fluidic architecture and ink performance, and to identify any issues with the integrated system.
· Autopsy/Triage/Failure tracking. This task involves collecting failed printheads, performing the initial triage, coordinating the appropriate failure analysis work, summarizing, reporting out the analysis, and assign next steps for each one of them.
· Lead issue resolution using structured lean problem-solving methods.
· System Interaction testing and development to deliver to new programs intent of meeting or exceeding customer experience.
· Partner with the R&D, NPI and Manufacturing teams for both Supplies and Printer organizations to deliver on program deliverables.
Post MR (Manufacturing Release) phase:
· Set up the Customer Returns framework for each NPI programs before transitioning this responsibility to Supplies Manufacturing team.
· Deliver on post-MR metrics of NPI before transitioning responsibility to Supplies Manufacturing team.
Individuals who will do well in this role usually possesses:
· Bachelor's or master’s degree in electrical/mechanical/Material/Chemical engineering related major
· Possesses a comprehensive technical background and systems-oriented mindset.
· Utilizes both analytical and empirical problem-solving techniques.
· Exhibits a proactive, hands-on attitude, adept at crafting innovative solutions to overcome obstacles.
· Displays a systemic perspective, adept at recognizing interconnections and thriving in dynamic settings.

· Open to occasional travel, approximately 25% of the time.
