Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 1+ year(s) supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience working in the Semiconductor Space or related commodity segment.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Responsibilities

Thisrole will also own strategic supply chain initiatives, including continuous improvement projects spanning all Storage and Memory commodities.

Detailed responsibilities include:

Supply Chain Management:

• Support development and execution of a supply plan spanning a multi-year strategy

• Mitigate continuity of supply risk and develop key escalation channels across supply base

• Take part in executing providing feedback on sourcing strategy and then executing to it

• Develop supplier capabilities on planning and supply chain operations delivery Supply Planning:

• On board new supplier to ensure they meet established requirements and expectation

• Work with Supply Chain, and Capacity Planning teams on the timing and availability of product transitions to plan for platform end of life (minimizing E&O inventory) and ramp of new platforms

• Review priorities between production and spares to create allocation plans for constrained materials Sourcing

• Issue and review all purchase orders placed by Microsoft for pilot, production, and spares to assure compliance and supportability against our inventory positioning

• Meet regularly with assigned suppliers to review forecast, capture supply commitments and publish internally

• Define inventory buffer targets (in conjunction with Component Planning) and strategies based on historical usage and forecast. Define financial risk/liability associated with said buffers

• Responsible for all analytics surrounding commodity operations, including but not limited to: Demand/Supply views, forecast changes, etc.

Strategic Initiatives:

• Lead process improvement initiatives across Storage commodities in partnership with various internal stakeholder teams

• Identify and drive various automation projects tied to forecast changes and associated impact on Storage commodities

• Develop detailed forecast change analysis updates for leadership including weekly/monthly change analysis of demand leveraging existing Power BI reports

• Be a champion for change management to adopt new business processes for improving efficiency
