Key job responsibilities
- Integration and test of the Kuiper satellite and various complex subassemblies in a cleanroom and ESD controlled environment
- Rigging and critical lifts of bulky, sensitive hardware
- Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, multimeters, optical inspection devices, micrometers and calipers
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
- Run functional and environmental testing on units
- Use computer software programs for controlling tests- Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient, safe and effective work environmentExport Control Requirement:

The Integration Technician II will work closely with cross-functional engineering, test, quality and operations teams on both first-article hardware development and production hardware integration processes. This position requires skill and experience in a variety of areas, including mechanical assembly, avionics integration, rigging, electrical checkouts and environmental testing. In short, you will be responsible for a majority of the most critical tasks to build the Kuiper satellite, ensuring high quality, workmanship and safety standards are adhered to on a daily basis.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical hardware assembly, test, and/or installation


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military or other high-reliability operating environment
- Experience in a fast-paced production environment
- Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
- Experience with forklifts, cranes and heavy equipment
- A demonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical drawings, work instructions and standard operating procedures
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environmentAdditional Requirements
- Willing to work all shifts, overtime and weekends as needed. Estimated shift times: 1st shift (8 am – 4:30 pm). Shifts may vary, depending on program needs.
- Able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive assembly operations
- Able to climb and down ladders, work in tight spaces, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position.
- Able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted
- Must be willing to travel up to 5% to different sites and for training
