Key job responsibilities
- Assist with integration and test of the Kuiper satellite and various complex subassemblies in a cleanroom and ESD controlled environment
- Rigging and critical lifts of bulky, sensitive hardware
- Use of precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, multimeters, optical inspection devices, micrometers and calipers
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
- Run functional and environmental testing on units
- Use computer software programs for controlling tests- Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient, safe and effective work environmentExport Control Requirement:

The Integration Technician I will work closely with experienced Integration Technicians on both first-article hardware development and production hardware integration processes. In this position, you will learn new skills in a variety of areas, including mechanical assembly, avionics integration, rigging, electrical checkouts and environmental testing. You take personal initiative, and maintain a good attitude during new situations and unfamiliar work environments. You are not afraid to identify problems and propose solutions to them, and produce high-quality work in a time-effective manner.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Associate degree in aerospace technology, Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) certification/license, or equivalent area of study
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative to achieve both personal and team goals
- Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military or other high-reliability operating environments
- Experience with forklifts, cranes and heavy equipment
- Familiarity with mechanical hand tools and precision measuring instruments
- Experience working in a team environment and/or as part of a team
- Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environmentAdditional Requirements
- Willing to work all shifts, overtime and weekends as needed. Estimated shift times: 1st shift (8 am – 4:30 pm). Shifts may vary, depending on program needs.
- Able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive assembly operations
- Able to climb and down ladders, work in tight spaces, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position.
- Able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted
- Must be willing to travel up to 5% to different sites and for training
