Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

  • Ensure that documentation meets our team's documentation standards by performing the following types of edits:
  • Technical: Verify completeness and accuracy of technical content.
  • Assessment: Assess the framework, including structure, voice, and style of the document.
  • Developmental: Review the content and the individual units in the document, including paragraphs, sentences, and words.
  • Copy: Screen the document to verify final details, including capitalization, punctuation, and style.
  • Ensure that writers follow the Informatica Style Guide.
  • Come up with process changes and lead department-wide plans/tasks.
  • Conduct workshops for educating writers on best practices related to style and grammar.
  • Develop writers through mentoring on language and style issues.
  • Keep managers well-informed about the progress of writers.

What We'd Like to See

  • Experience with any content management systems (Tridion).
  • Experience working on databases, SQL, Eclipse, XML, application servers, ERP, CRM, and data warehousing.
  • Experience writing and editing for DBA audience (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, and DB2).

Role Essentials

  • 8+ years of relevant writing and editing experience.
  • Experience with Agile development cycles.
  • Knowledge of DITA specializations, style sheets, XSLT transformations.
  • Experience working with a translation team to produce PDFs and online help in multiple languages.
  • Understand the customer requirements and ensure that they are implemented into the documentation.
  • Leadership and project management skills.
  • BE/B.Tech/BA/MA/BS (Engineering, humanities, social sciences).
  • Supervise Operational Duties of Staff
