Job Function

Qualcomm is looking for an experienced Hardware System/TFT Design Engineer for its biometrics module products.

This person must communicate well in Mandarin and English.

Responsibilities

Qualified Hardware System/TFT Design Engineer in the position is responsible for

• Design and develop system solutions for biometrics products, with a focus on TFT design and board level circuit design.

• Apply analog/digital integrated circuit design and verification expertise to the development of the next generation fingerprint sensors based on LTPS process technology.

• Support design engineers to simulate, evaluate, and verify different mixed signal blocks, pixel, and periphery

• Work with cross function teams (ASIC/Algorithm/SW/Manufacturing) for biometric performance optimization and feature development

• Strong teamwork spirit and ability to collaborate effectively with other team members is important.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in area of hardware system design/TFT design/mixed signal circuit design

• Strong command of Electrical Engineering fundamentals (mixed/analog circuit design)

• Familiar with VLSI design and simulation flow

• Familiar with Cadence ADE design environment or Cadence Virtuoso layout editor

• Good knowledge of LTPS process flow is a plus

• Experience using Matlab to conduct simulations/analysis is a plus

Education Requirements

• B.S or higher in Electrical Engineering, or relevant technical field. Master degree in these fields preferred.

• Fluent in English, both verbal and written

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
