Check Point is looking for an experienced Buyer to lead and manage our OEM (original equipment manufacturer)and cloud agreements in the purchasing department.

As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in developing and executing sourcing strategies to procure cloud/OEM services and solutions for the organization. You will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, optimizing costs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality cloud/OEM services to meet business needs. This role requires expertise in cloud technology, OEM agreements, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage relationships with key OEM/Cloud suppliers, including conducting regular business reviews, resolving issues, and fostering collaboration to drive continuous improvement.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with OEM/Cloud suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms while maintaining product quality and delivery timelines.
  • Lead supplier selection processes, evaluating suppliers based on factors such as quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as IT, security, legal, and finance teams, to understand technology needs, assess vendor capabilities, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.
  • Manage relationships with cloud vendors, including conducting vendor performance reviews, addressing issues and escalations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor cloud usage and spending trends, analyze cost drivers, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency gains.
  • Develop strategies to optimize software OEM and cloud agreements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Law, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with a focus on software OEM/Cloud procurement preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English – mandatory.
  • Proven experience in software procurement, licensing, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong understanding of software development, licensing models, and intellectual property rights.
  • Experience in negotiations and complex contracts.
  • Experience with financial management and data analysis in a software context.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Accurate and detail-oriented.
