This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.
Responsibilities:
Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
Automates manual release activities
Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
Required Qualifications:
Significant experience in Microsoft SQL programming and development is a must including SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Oracle, CUBE (Star Schema).
Must have hands-on experiences in migrating from standard relational database to non-relational databases leveraging Big Data stack and alternate mechanisms like HDFS, Spark, Neo4j, Snowflake, Airflow, MongDB, etc.
Assess and analyze existing database architecture to identify opportunities for modernization.
Proficiency in database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
Significant experience in data normalization, denormalization, compression techniques to optimize data-size and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align database solutions accordingly.
Ensure data integrity, security, and performance in the modernized database environment.
Provide technical guidance and support to development teams during the implementation of database changes.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in both traditional databases and big data.
Experience in Financial data such Trade data, Reference data , etc. to build functional calculation modules, reports and dashboards
Experience in functional knowledge of GRRP (Global Recovery and Resolution Planning) regulatory needs in terms of data, calculations& Reporting
