Solution Architect Position Description
Job Summary
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with sales and technical delivery teams to bring our customers the best solutions from the Red Hat portfolio including platform, cloud, management, automation and application development
Discover and analyze customers' business and technical problems; apply appropriate Red Hat solutions to address their needs
Provide pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex services and solutions
Provide trusted thought leadership both internally and with our customers
Use deep product and industry knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations
Follow standard practices and procedures for analyzing situations or data
Required Skills / Factors:
Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI and a minimum of a CI polygraph (current)
10+ years of experience in sales engineering, consulting, IT architecture, or equivalent supporting strategic accounts
Excellent communication and presentation skills with a record of developing relationships at engineering, program management and executive levels
Experience working with modern development practices like DevOps or continuous integration
Strong work ethic - ability to work in a field environment with frequently shifting priorities
Must be local to the greater Denver, CO area. Candidates outside of this area will not be considered
Willingness to travel up to 50%, sometimes on short notice
Highly Desired Skills / Factors:
Active IC badge
Experience with multiple community elements
Certified in Red Hat technology, such as Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or similar
Certified in other technologies such as Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, etc.
Experience with automation to include scripting with Ansible, Python, PowerShell, etc.
Hands-on experience with containers, Kubernetes or OpenShift
The salary range for this position is $142,950.00 - $228,710.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
