Based out of the IBM Hursley Design Studio in the UK**, you’ll work closely with a largely co-located cross functional project team (including designers, product managers, and
engineers). Your research findings and insights will drive the design and development of user-centered solutions to ensure our products deliver exceptional user experiences.
Rigor, attention to detail, insatiable curiosity, and a willingness to learn will be critical as you work in this rapidly evolving space in the industry.
**Please note, this position involves working onsite at least 3 days per week at our stunning Hursley location near Winchester where you’ll benefit from our collaborative design studio culture as well as working in-person with your product team mates.
As a UX Researcher, you will be uncovering often unarticulated user needs and connecting those to business goals. You will define, prioritize, and execute a program of research using a range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders. You will identify and connect with our target users, becoming their advocate through research, influencing our product design as to provide innovative solutions that best meet their needs. Your insights will inform products used by customers across the world.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Several years of experience conducting user research throughout the entire product development lifecycle
Demonstrated success relating generative and evaluative research insights to core business goals
Experience triangulating customer insights from a combination of qualitative, quantitative user research studies and behavioral analytics
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with AI and/or cloud computing technology
Experience working with enterprise software (agile/continuous delivery desired)
Experience managing projects involving cross-functional teams
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, User Experience Research, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
