As a member of the Global Tech Indirect Procurement Technology team, you’ll be learning and practicing strong sense of ownership, solving complex problems, applying passion for technology in your work, foster strong relationships and build trust, and works for the success of the entire team. These projects directly impact how our store and home office associates Source, contract, procure, receive, and pay for Goods Not for Resale. You’ll operate as a trusted advisor as it relates to efficiencies and best practices. As a member of the team, you’ll be able to say that you work for the world’s largest retailer and contribute to the deployment of best-in-class technologies that transform our back office.


Indirect Procurement Technology team responsible for the applications required to procure goods not for resales items. This team also takes care of the expense management and continent labor applications along the reporting the GNFR data. What you'll do:

  • ou have an opportunity to develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the customer and the company.
  • You will be responsible for design, architecture, and end-to-end delivery of one or more systems/products while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • You will have to estimate effort, identify risks, help with prioritization and devising/meeting project schedules.
  • You will raise the bar on sustainable engineering by improving best practices, producing best in class of code, documentation, testing and monitoring.
  • You will build and maintain systems in a way that ensures compliance with certification, regulatory standards, and a technology-based information security program.
  • In this role you will ensure product architecture and implementations are highly scalable, extensible with superior performance
  • You will show your skills in analyzing and testing programs/products before formal launch to ensure flawless performance

What you'll bring:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field or Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field 10+ years relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in building and managing large scale distributed, scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems
  • Identify opportunities at the engineering and product side and influence leaders and engineers to solve high impact problems.
  • Advanced, inside-out knowledge (coding experience) in Java, Spring Framework, NoSQL databases, ,ReactJs, Javascript.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure such as Open Stack, Azure and GCP..
  • Experience with Event Driven Architectures.
  • Experience with SAP Technologies is a plus.
  • Expert in OO design and design patterns.
  • Experience in developing and designing applications and web services in a Service Oriented Architecture, including the use of RESTful services and API gateways.
  • Mentor junior developers and continuously improve software engineering practices.
