You will bring independent and strategic thinking to the NPIs (New Product Introductions), current portfolio, supporting and challenging where appropriate. You will play a key role in planning future projects, forming plans based on data gaps and considering strategic requirements. The role requires consolidation and triangulation of data and information from primary market research, voice of customer, secondary data sources and competitive intelligence to form insights and recommendations.The Business Insights Partner runs market research projects autonomously, so requires extensive experience of executing market research programs, strong project management skills, quality control and vendor management. The ideal candidate should also have a solid understanding of the product lifecycle research steps and have experience in typical marketing and commercial pre-launch and post-launch activities. Some agency-side experience (market research or consulting) is desired.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of key strategic marketplace and customer insights through primary or secondary research
  • Consolidate and triangulate data and information from primary market research, secondary data sources and competitive intelligence into insights, create syntheses (proactively, where relevant) and make actionable business recommendations
  • Support product leaders with development of robust insight-based business cases for NPIs, proactively suggest updates to existing business cases to reflect market dynamics
  • Monitor competitor activity, relaying important news to key stakeholders in a timely manner, and suggesting appropriate actions where relevant
  • Identify data gaps and generate an annual insights roadmap for the different brands, including the timelines, methodologies, and budget needed to deliver the roadmap
  • Work in close collaboration with Marketing to develop Value Propositions, support them with the development of marketing materials to ensure alignment with insights and strategy
  • Execute market research projects, including vendor selection and management, engaging with cross-functional teams to get inputs as appropriate throughout the project. Act as a filter between vendor and team, e.g. managing conversations, reviewing materials / presentations to ensure quality and most efficient use of other internal stakeholders’ time. Oversee the development of the final report, ensuring business objectives are addressed and actionable recommendations are developed. Facilitate the delivery of the project readout, leading workshops where relevant. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to form action plans, ensuring implementation of the insights

Qualifications

  • Masters or Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in healthcare insights, agency or industry side
  • Broad technical experience in different research methods and approaches in the pharmaceutical or diagnostics area
  • Strong internal customer management and ability to provide strategic recommendations, taking insights to the next level
  • Healthcare/ Pharmaceutical experience
  • Substantial experience in market and customer insight generation, in international markets including but not limited to the US
  • Experience in both qualitative and quantitative market research skills
  • Being able to triangulate and aggregate data from multiple data sources to develop hypotheses and provide a single source of truth
  • Strong capability in planning and managing an insights plan
  • An aptitude to develop and evaluate product, market, and business forecasts
  • Ability to generate insight with low as well as high budgets and under tight deadlines
  • Capability to work effectively across a matrix environment and influence without formal authority
  • Ability to focus and prioritize effectively with changing priorities
