JOB DESCRIPTION


Key responsibilities

  • Determining and deriving the technical requirements from customer ensuring the compliance of the system and its products to the customer requirement documentation.
  • Coordinating other development groups (Electrical, Hardware, Mechanical, Software, Test Services, Safety, etc.) involved to make sure the technical activities on project are in accordance with technical requirements, liaise with Program
  • Management, Design, Chief Engineers, Development Engineers, Manufacturing and Customers as and when necessary
  • Providing general technical leadership on component level during development life cycle, supporting Lead Systems Engineer during system level requirements allocation, validation and other requirement management activities.
  • Responsibility for subsystem/component level architectural decisions, defining, supervising and evaluation trade studies justifying decisions
  • Primary point of contact for external and internal customers, negotiation of technical specification and architecture at the component level
  • Mentoring and providing guidance to less experienced colleagues

Key skills and qualifications

  • Master’s degree in relevant technical field – Aerospace, Mechanical or Systems Engineering
  • At least 5 years industry experience, 3 years of experience as system engineer of aerospace product development
  • Experience in the capturing and definition and subsequent detailing of requirements and/or definition and validation and verification of technical requirements
  • Good command of English language (B2/C1) - communication in English (spoken and written) with global team members, stakeholders and customers
