Your key responsibilities

  • Lead improvement initiatives across upstream, midstream, and downstream operations, focusing on areas including reliability, efficiency, and HSE.
  • Should have working knowledge of applying condition-based monitoring and predictive analytics to enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Aware of implementing smart automation techniques to support well operations.
  • Use digital tools to plan resources, schedule activities, monitor and track productivity related to O&G projects.
  • Enhance processes by using AI for incident prediction, safety observations, and risk benchmarking.
  • Ensure compliance with leading industry standards likes of ISO 45001 (Health & Safety), ISO 25001 (IT Service Quality), and ISO 50001 (Energy Management).
  • Translate complex business needs into practical solutions—identifying inefficiencies, re-engineering core processes, and deploying enabling technologies across client environments.
  • Improve procurement and engineering processes through digital platforms, technical evaluations, and automated records.
  • Use dashboards and integrated systems to support decision-making, budget planning, and performance tracking.
  • Experience in conducting performance benchmarking and comparative analysis across industry standards is desirable.
  • Mentor and coach junior consultants, supporting professional growth, delivery excellence, and knowledge transfer across the practice.
  • Contribute to business development—identifying new opportunities, co-authoring proposals, and engaging with client prospects to grow accounts.
  • Produce thought leadership, market insights, and sector analysis to strengthen the team’s reputation as trusted O&G advisors.
  • Collaborate with global and regional EY teams to share best practices, leverage international frameworks, and enhance solution offerings.
  • Display flexibility to work with Middle East clients and travel as project needs dictate, supporting engagements across multiple geographies.

  • Ability to think strategically and to solve complex problems . You will demonstrate strong critical thinking skills focused on developing business solutions, creating logical analysis, assimilating large amounts to complex information, identifying or anticipating issues or challenges.
  • Ability to communicate, making complex systems and situations simple to understand. You’ll communication visually, verbally and in written reports.
  • Ability to manage projects –we help our client solve their complex technology challenges. You will need good project delivery skills to manage and deliver the projects across our key clients.
  • Ability to learn new ideas and capabilities rapidly through self–driven learning and research. You’ll need to be able to assimilate new ideas and information rapidly.
  • Good Research Skills exposure to various research tools and ability to conduct deep level of research on specific topics related to the Business Consulting/ Transformation engagements.
  • Ability to benchmark client requirements against leading practices and identify client pain points and opportunities.
  • Good leadership skills to enhance the relationship with key stakeholders and develop new business opportunities.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 4+ years of consulting or direct Oil & Gas industry experience with deep exposure to transformation, digital programs, and core operations (Upstream, midstream and downstream).
  • Strong understanding of the full O&G value chain and current/future transformation drivers including cost, technology.
  • Experience with delivering projects / programs, digital enablement in O&G environments.
  • Excellent interacting skills, with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and analytics tools.
  • Prior experience engaging stakeholders across technical, business, and executive functions.
  • Advanced degree in Engineering is a must, and any additional certification in Energy Management, or an MBA is preferred.
  • Willing to work MENA timings and travel, as required.
