Your day to day

  • Support the Head of Strategic Partnerships MEA region, execute on the regional strategy

  • Proactively identify strategic opportunities for PayPal’s capabilities through a strong understanding of the segment and end users’ business needs, leveraging PayPal’s partnership solutions across all product platforms

  • Continuously review market landscape, identifying developing trends and forecasting opportunities that will help the growth of PayPal’s regional partnerships

  • Define account strategy & build plans to determine strategic goal alignment and growth drivers for partners in the portfolio

  • Take the lead in solving the problems that arise during the execution of programs with partners

  • Proactively identify and solve complex problems that impact the management, relationship, and direction of the business with partners

  • Report to and interact with senior executives to indicate the status of the partnership progress

  • Foster in-depth and productive relationships at all levels with the partner and the PayPal organization

  • Proactively educate the PayPal organization on market developments and partner opportunities

  • Resolve and support partners’ issues, challenges, and escalations

  • Identify and implement new products or value-added services opportunities within the account

  • Be a partner advocate, challenge status quo when needed, engage & influence internal teams

  • Build partner relationships, engage partners at all levels from working team to partner executives to ensure mutual success

  • Operationalize commercial deals to ensure the deal goals are met

  • Oversee relationships, business outcomes and drive delivery of partnership goals. Manage ongoing account plan and deliver on both strategic and tactical initiatives

  • Develop strategic alignment between partner organizations and PayPal. Agree on strategic goals and deliver both long-term and short-term outcomes.

What you need to bring

  • 6 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree

  • Proven financial services or payments industry experience

  • Demonstrated track record of planning, managing and closing multiple complex, competitive sales effort and managing deals from negotiation, to closing and through delivery

  • Exquisite verbal and written communication skills including large-group presentations, with proven executive presence

  • Demonstrated success in business development, solution development and commercialization, account management and sales support for a global payments organization

  • Experience building sound business cases, designing payments solutions relevant to the market, and delivering results within budget.

  • Fluency in eliciting partner needs to help support end-user flows and journeys, in other words, be a solution integrator to move from strategic insights to process to technology solutions

  • Strategic thinking and thought leadership

  • Teamwork, interpersonal &relationship-buildingskills, and ability to lead by influence and example

  • Proven ability to partner, communicate and manage/navigate through multiple disciplines and organizational groups

  • Experience building Executive Level communications and delivering presentations

  • Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment, and to influence senior management and other relevant parties

  • Executive presence, strong written and oral communication, including large-group presentations

  • Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible
