Our Electrical Engineering team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing, debugging and validation of electrical hardware to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. We work closely with designers, cross-functional teams within Dell Technologies, and suppliers to make sure electronic designs meet a range of requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality and quality, as well as industry standards.

As an Electrical Engineer 1, you will participate as a member of the design team to create, validate, and review power designs to ensure that they meet product requirements.
You will:
- Develop electrical power hardware and evaluate electrical components
- Evaluate equipment and test plan requirements to perform verification; conduct experimental tests and evaluate results using lab test equipment
- Select components based on specifications, cost, continuity of supply and reliability
- Review Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) and sub-tier vendor capability to support product development and production
- Create and maintain required documentation including specifications
Essential Requirements
- School or industry work experience (internships ok) in a simlar role or equivalent skill
- Familiarity with analog and digital circuitry design in power application-related field
- Skilled in embedded system design using micro-controllers
- Familiarity with Power topology and component applications such as semiconductors and magnetic applications
- Excellent problem solving, organization, communication and presentation skills
Desirable Requirements
- Experience using Computer Aided Design (CAD) and simulation tools e.g. MATLAB, SPICE and allegro
- Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and electronic loads; experience soldering components onto printed circuit boards
