Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Jacobs’ compensation plans sections of the quarterly SEC Forms 10-Q and annual Form 10-K in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of deferred compensation assets/liabilities and prepare accurate deferred compensation roll forward schedules.
  • Perform monthly closing tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations for temporary equity related transactions for the invested company.
  • Develop and maintain temporary equity roll forward schedules and other relevant reports on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare and review the SOX control testing procedures, provide assistance during internal and
  • Demonstrate a commitment to adherence to US GAAP, Company policies, SEC reporting standards, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements.
  • Prepare and review schedules, journal entries, account reconciliations and 10-Q/K footnote disclosures.
  • Guide and review the work process of accounting for acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings and other assignments
  • Prepare and review fluctuation and trending analyses for complex transactions, including preparation of the monthly Corporate Functions Analysis.
  • Review activities impacting restructuring and other add-backs.
  • Participating in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures for global accounting activities and continuous improvement process including automation and acceleration related to restructuring accounting.
  • Reading, understanding, following, and testing the applicable process narratives pertaining to Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements and technical accounting.
  • You’ll direct, review, or prepare schedules, journal entries, trial balance loads and account reconciliations. You’ll also coordinate, review, or prepare various flux analysis for P&L and balance sheets.
  • Prepare and review flux and trending analyses for complex transactions, including preparation of the monthly Other Income & Expense Analysis and Fx Analysis.
  • Prepare and review legal entries, providing GL coding for legal items as needed
  • Perform monthly PAC TB load into Oracle and prepare PAC RE roll and equity roll
Here's what you'll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Active CPA license or equivalent (local CA/ACCA)
  • Professional accounting experience (7+ years) including at least 1-2 years of external audit
  • Strong accounting knowledge in the compensation field (compensation plans/benefits)
  • Exposure to consolidations, international accounting and reporting issues relating to the compensation plans
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of US GAAP/IFRS, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and controls.
  • Understanding of restructurings, consolidations, international accounting and reporting issues

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with a large ERP system and reporting tool (Hyperion Financial Management, Oracle preferred)
  • Preparation of footnote disclosures for 10-Q/K
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to support US Corporate Accounting team.
