What to Expect

As a Circular Compliance Program Coordinator, you will support the execution of compliance initiatives and battery recycling programs across EMEA. This role focuses on assisting with regulatory requirements, recycling operations, and administrative tasks to ensure Tesla meets its environmental obligations. You will report to the Circular Compliance Manager, which is part of the EHS Sustainability structure.

What You’ll Do
  • Support Recycling Operations: Assist in operations and tracking of end-of-life battery recycling needs, ensuring alignment with environmental standards and Tesla’s sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with teams like Procurement and Finance under supervision to optimize recycling processes and ensure efficient material recovery.
  • Support Regulatory Compliance: Aid in implementing new Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations by updating internal documentation and processes.
  • Address Internal Inquiries: Learn to respond to basic recycling-related questions from stakeholders, escalating complex issues to senior team members.
  • Assist in Cost Management: Help monitor recycling expenditures to ensure cost-effective solutions while prioritizing environmental responsibility.
  • Promote Best Practices: Participate in training sessions to share recycling best practices and contribute to a culture of sustainability.
What You’ll Bring
  • A foundational understanding of EU regulations (e.g., Battery Regulation, Waste regulation) is preferred.
  • You are a strategic thinker who thrives well in fast-paced environments and can provide well thought through solutions based on data analysis while keeping the ‘bigger picture’ in mind.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to deliver effectively and efficiently under pressure, given competing demands and tight deadlines.
  • You have a keen eye for details and able to work well with international stakeholders across EMEA.
  • Excellent communication skills, with business level fluency in English (written and spoken). Additional languages are a plus.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint.
  • Travel up to 20% may be required.
