What You’ll Do What You’ll Bring
- Represent the company in administrative hearings and court proceedings to obtain sales licenses
- Conduct fact investigation, analyze legal issues, and develop litigation strategies
- Conduct affirmative and defensive discovery
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents
- Identify and prepare witnesses for trials and other proceedings
- Partner with business stakeholders to review and resolve state regulatory matters related to our sales and business practices
- Work on governmental regulatory investigations and other government inquiries and manage outside counsel, as needed
- JD Degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Member of a state bar
- 7-plus years of experience in litigation and/or administrative proceedings, preferably including proceedings before state franchise boards or agencies
- Ability to absorb and synthesize wide variety of laws and regulations
- Preferably, experience working for an automaker, auto supplier, government safety agency, or law firm supporting same
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
