Citibank Europe Plc (CEP) is currently growing its Treasury Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP) team and is looking for a driven candidate that is a proactive self-starter who approaches work enthusiastically, demonstrates initiative, thinks critically and challenges the status quo when necessary, and has the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. As a VP for Treasury RRP, you will be working on the annual production and refresh of the Treasury aspects of CEP’s Recovery and Resolution documents, assisting on ongoing RRP related projects, participating in dry-runs, and supporting ad-hoc requests from regulators and senior management.
Some of the key responsibilities in the role:
- Lead the Treasury aspects of the Recovery Plan of Citibank Europe PLC, working closely with the Central RRP team, business line representatives, Risk and other members of the Treasury RRP team, in order to develop Recovery Plan scenarios, calibrate recovery indicators, develop forecasts, and identify / assess recovery options.
- Coordinate and support MREL planning, calibration and forecasting as part of the periodic Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), annual Strategic Planning process and Recovery Planning process.
- Contribute to the annual refresh of key EU resolution documents for CEP on liquidity and funding in resolution, collateral mobilisation, or recapitalisation.
- Perform analysis around liquidity, collateral, MREL / TLAC, or associated processes as required, and develop associated documents for submission to internal governance committees or regulators.
- Design and execute presentations to CEP committees and regulatory workshops.
- Participate in periodic resolution exercises conducted by Citigroup and support local recovery and resolution capabilities testing.
- Execute on ad-hoc projects based on regulatory requests.
What knowledge, skills and experience we’ll need from you:
- Extensive experience working for a financial institution or a consulting firm specialising in projects related to financial institutions and has a good understanding of liquidity concepts including its management, intraday liquidity, regulations, reporting, forecasting and/or stress testing, and their application to business activity and the balance sheet.
- Experience in developing either a Recovery Plan, ILAAP document, ICAAP document, or another similar artefact.
- Working knowledge of recovery planning or resolvability concepts are an advantage but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write comprehensive regulatory documents and explain technical concepts or analysis in an understandable manner, are imperative.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to convey complex issues in a succinct manner, demonstrated through experience in preparing materials for and presenting to senior management and/or regulatory bodies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and evaluate large sets of data in order to either draw conclusions, problem solve, or develop forecast.
- Capable of exceling under pressure and operating in an environment with a high level of scrutiny, is a strong team player that is able to collaborate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders across different levels, can coordinate across various lines of business, legal entities and regions, and effectively prioritize across multiple tasks to bring them to closure.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity, think conceptually, quickly grasp relevant new concepts while making meaningful connections to existing activities and deliverables.
