• Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Expert in PostgreSQL/MySQL/Redshift DB technologies and tools, DB development
• Handling DB Maintenance(Upgrades etc.), Replication, Backup and recovery, performance issues
• 5+ years of industry experience, including at least four years of hands-on DB administration, three or more years hands-on DB development projects
• Knowledge of in one or more programming languages such as Python
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of working effectively with Development Engineering and other functions
• Converting logical to physical design
• On-call support
• Experience in Linux
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• SQL proficiency
• Experience with database backups and remote disaster recovery
• Experience dealing with large databases
• Experience with managing production database servers
• Administration MS/Linux servers, and storage
• Experience in supporting internal and external customers
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redshift or replication, clustering, and scaling
