Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Test Engineer in Amazon's MSP Innovation Lab, you will spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies for innovative automation solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing validation frameworks and implementing robust test methodologies that ensure the reliability of complex mechatronic systems. You'll design and conduct sophisticated system-level experiments, leveraging Six Sigma principles and failure mode analyses to validate new technologies.In this role, you'll architect data-driven test automation solutions while leading technical risk assessments and quality initiatives. Your responsibilities extend to mentoring technical teams, fostering knowledge transfer, and driving operational excellence through standardized procedures and performance optimization strategies. You'll collaborate with international teams to establish and maintain testing standards across Europe and globally.

- Six Sigma Black Belt certification with demonstrated experience applying DMAIC methodology and advanced statistical analysis tools in complex mechatronic/robotics testing environments
- Experience with automation testing frameworks and data analytics platforms, including the ability to develop test scripts and analyze large datasets to identify performance patterns and anomalies in robotic systems
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional testing initiatives for complex mechatronic systems, including development of comprehensive test plans, failure mode analyses (PFMEA/FTA), and technical documentation that influenced product design decisions
- Advanced knowledge of CAD software and process simulation tools, with experience using these to optimize test scenarios and validate mechanical/electrical system interactions
- Experience managing testing laboratories and establishing scalable testing processes, including development of standard operating procedures, test methodologies, and quality control mechanisms
- Multi-lingual communication skills (English + Italian preferred) with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, including experience preparing executive-level technical presentations and reports
