Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the display TLA and sub-component development, validationand management of existing and developing Tesla manufacturing partners.

· Sourcing, identifying, and executing part and assembly manufacturinglines with candidate suppliers.

· Support setup on supplier’s control flow and ramping operation (IQC/OQC)based on Tesla display inspection criteria, also to define containment plan andcorrect actions to ensure engineering design concept and yield targetcompliance.

· Conduct FACA ondisplay quality issue and solidate the implementation plan.

· Oversee materials planning (Clear to build), inventory control, Excess& Obsolete (E&O) analysis and projections, New Product Materialreadiness, logistics readiness from Tier 2/3 companies supply Tier 1/2 companies with theparts.

· Access supplier’s production readiness to support engineering build and conductTQP activity to meet SOP ramp.

· Influence product manufacturability, testability, and supply chainresponsiveness in pursuit of low cost and flexibility, while stewardingquality.

· Drive supplier’s processperformance and coordinate yield improvement to meet manufacturing costreduction.

· Support Tesla GigafactoryQuality Team to define and perform containment plan related to supplier-corrective-action-request(SCAR) part defect and field return.

· Validate supplier correctiveactions involving design and/or process changes to ensure they are robust, sustainable,and implemented for similar potential concerns across manufacturing linesand/or suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in display manufacturing or other display quality management areas.
  • BS/MS Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or evidence of experience and exceptional ability.
  • Technical knowledge in display technologies and manufacturing, such as LCD, Touch Sensor, and OLED a plus.
  • Knowledge of any of the following preferred: Mechanical subassemblies, PCBA top level assembly, Semiconductor, or IC driver procedure.
  • Solid communication skills with the ability to work in multinational environments.
  • Driven and motivated by accomplishing world-class objectives.

· Experience in manufacturing, process engineering and quality controlling.

· Ability to multi-task,prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment.

· Proficient with MicrosoftOffice applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.

· Results oriented and attention to detail.

· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to present to management.

  • Understanding of costing concepts, cost reduction, modeling, etc. preferred.
  • Ability to travel frequently.
