Sony Electronics has a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing Specialist to support Sony’s New Business team. This position is based out of our San Diego headquarters location and is responsible for supporting and executing Sony’s OTC hearing aid category marketing activities, including: Paid media, Channel Marketing, Marketing Reporting, Customer Research, PR, Creative, Social media, Events and Email. This position works closely with the Business and Marketing team to ensure all activities support the overall business objectives. This person will also interact with the Community Marketing team, Brand team, Events team, Finance team and Legal.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Paid Media support

    • Help manage agencies to execute paid media campaigns

    • Coordinate creative, help implement tagging links, ensure campaigns launch on time

  • Channel Marketing support

    • Support product pages on Sony Direct Channel as well as product pages on other Retail Channel e-commerce websites

    • Help implement product page refreshes with new content

    • Support physical Retail display maintenance and updates

  • Customer Research

    • Support research efforts on current and potential customers

    • Pull reports from various research tools and gather insights to support the Business

    • Coordinate surveys to gain insights from current and/or potential customers

  • PR

    • Support PR efforts for product launches: Outreach to press and influencers, coordinating and conducting briefings, managing review and loan programs

    • Help manage PR agency

  • Creative

    • Work with both internal Creative Teams and outsourced agencies on the development of assets and content, including: banner ads, social content, product guides, videos, etc.

  • Social Media

    • Work with internal Community Marketing team and Social teams to implement social posts supporting the Business

    • Help with crafting posts

  • Events

    • Event planning and coordination where needed

    • Coordinating shipments for events, support with signage and display development and implementation

    • Supporting events on-the-floor, ensuring the proper execution of any event displays, event activities and attendee engagement

  • Email

    • Work with Email teams to implement email campaigns

    • Draft email copy

    • Work within email tools to set up and deploy emails, where needed

    • Maintain and analyze email reporting documents for insights and optimization

  • Marketing Reporting

    • Maintain reporting documents for all Marketing Activities

    • Help analyze reporting documents for insights and optimization

  • Other

    • This role will require heavy support with billing and payments (vendor payment management, opening POs, managing discrepancies and accruals, etc.)

    • May be required to support other New Business categories’ marketing activities

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent

  • Must have 1-3 years of related marketing experience

  • Strong written/verbal communications and presentation skills required

  • Is data oriented and analytical

  • Has ability to multi-task and be detail oriented

  • Is innovative, a self-starter and a problem solver

  • Travel requirements: Role may travel up to 25%

annual base salary for this position is $57,000to $85,00. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
