About the role:

Provides support to the IC Mods Manufacturing organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area, to optimize existing processes, and to ensure that production goals are met. Monitors performance of equipment, machines, and tools and corrects equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields, or product quality issues. Interfaces with Quality and Research & Development organizations to integrate new products or processes into the existing manufacturing area.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures
  • Initiate and complete technical activities leading to new or improved products or process for current programs, next generation programs, and to meet strategic goals and objectives of the company; prepare reports, publish, and make presentations to communicate findings
  • Analyze and solve problems from basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts through to a wide range of complex and advanced problems which require novel and new innovative approaches or a major breakthrough in technology
  • Understand engineering principles, theories, concepts, practices, and techniques; develop knowledge in a field to become a recognized leader or authority in an area of specialization and apply this knowledge in leadership roles in the company
  • Incorporate business policies and procedures into task completion; understand the business needs of the company and has knowledge of the customer needs of our business
  • Cultivate internal and external network of resources to complete tasks; serve as a resource in the selection, orientation, and training of new engineers and employees; may lead a project team, determining goals and objectives for the projects
  • Interact cross-functionally and with internal and external customers

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • 2+ years of relevant, post-collegiate work experience in an engineering-related field
  • Proven understanding of Visual Basic and LabVIEW programming to test electrical design requirements in a highly regulated industry
  • Proven understanding of manufacturing problem solving and data analysis (i.e. Minitab, DMAIC, etc.)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Software, or Mechanical Engineering, or bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  • Experience in the medical device or semiconductor industry
  • Experience with validation and qualification of software and equipment
  • Experience in converting Visual Basic code to equivalent LabVIEW code or vice versa
  • Proven ability to drive process improvement initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to develop and present ideas via visual communication methods
