What You’ll Do
- Drive problem resolution for issues experienced in customer environments.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to Cisco products, services or solutions.
- Provide answers for products, services or solutions questions.
- Create or update, and deliver problem resolution, project collateral and/or knowledge transfer.
- Assists in documenting and resolving technical problems found in products and solutions.
- Engage and drive appropriate resources for critical issues
- Maintain accurate documentation in incident and knowledge management systems
- Ensure case management guidelines are followed
- Effectively communicate (verbal and written) with the customer and Cisco stakeholders on status and progress of service requests
Our Minimum Requirements For This Role
- Understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware (Modern Enterprise Networks) typically requires 3-6 years related experience.
- Knowledge of application, network and transport infrastructure protocols.
- LAN and WAN production environment experience.
- Practical experience with Linux operating systems.
- Experience with routing protocols (eg OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
Our Preferred Qualifications For This Role
We'll be very impressed if you can also show some of the below:
- Knowledge and experience with routing products (ISR4k, ISR1k, ASR1k).
- Hold a current valid industry recognizable accreditation (CCNP, CCIE) desired.
- Knowledge of Python and Rest APIs.
- IaaS providers general understanding, operational level experience preferred (AWS, Azure)
- Understanding of application container technologies and cloud architecture.
- Understanding of IPsec, ZBFW, IPS, URL filtering technologies
- Foundational knowledge of Linux/UNIX command-line tools/environments.
- Understanding of X.509 Certificates usage workflow.
- Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internal resources and apply that knowledge in real-world situations.
