Minimum qualifications:
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in telecommunications at carrier scale working with optical network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer2/3 routers, and data services.
- 2 years of experience in telecommunications, OSP, ISP, AC/DC power systems, and relay rack/cabinet/cage construction.
- Experience with fiber types and their application, physical fiber characteristics, and standard testing tools (e.g., OSA, BERT, OTDR).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in telecommunications, particularly at carrier class scale with a knowledge of large optical network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer2/3 routers and data services.
- Experience working in a data center environment.
- Experience with local regulatory standards, procedures, and requirements around network infrastructure installations.
- Experience with managing or directing field operation technicians, engineers, contractors or vendors in a Data center working environment.
- Ability to travel up to 50% as needed.
