This role is part of the MR Path to Leadership Initiative. The Global Coils Supply Chain Transformation Leader is responsible for developing and implementing the roadmap for the legacy coils supply base. Working with sourcing, manufacturing, engineering, and product management teams to optimize the supply base through localization opportunities, supplier transfers, design changes, and end of life opportunities. Responsible for project operations and programs support including standardization, quality management, document management, methods creation and maintenance, process improvement and tools for the project management function. Impacts the team’s ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Proficiently manage the complexities associated with large, enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, and communicate effectively with executive-level staff.
  • Serve as the “face” of assigned programs and projects, interacting with executive leadership to communicate results, status, risks/issues and mitigation strategies.
  • Supervisory roles that provide direct or indirect leadership for overall projects operation, including leadership for operations in which activities are centralized shared resources to execute customer projects and/or project monitoring activities.
  • Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+years experiencein large scale Project and/or Program mgmt. Or mix of Operational, Engineering, Sourcing, and/or Service experiences acceptable.
  • Experience leading large cross-functional teams to achieve business goalswithprovensuccess in project management.
  • Exceptional skills as a change agent, influencer, and process excellence leader.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate withemployeeandcustomers at all levels.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Desired Characteristics

  • MBA or master's degree in technical field.
  • Strong mix of technical and business acumen, with experience in product engineering and/or supply chain.
  • Experience in a complex program management environment, including large and small projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues within functional area and/or area of expertise.
  • Active certification in PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent proven capability
  • Experience in healthcare industry with relevant domain knowledge
