Key Qualifications
  • Comfort with independently closing complex energy and/or carbon reduction project investments and/or transactions while facing external counterparties as a deal lead
  • Experience presenting investments and transactions to executives, including the key risks, assumptions, and commercial scenarios
  • Expertise in quantitative modeling, including familiarity with critical assumptions, inputs and outputs of discounted cash flow analysis for infrastructure project financing
  • Experience structuring and closing complex energy, carbon reduction or other project-financed infrastructure transactions involving financial engineering, technical innovation, and complex regulatory compliance requirements across global markets
  • Excellent project management experience, including the ability to flexibly progress multiple transactions simultaneously and lead the various stages of a transaction, such as pre-diligence, structuring, executive approvals, due diligence, negotiation of definitive agreements and closing
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including building internal and external relationships and partnerships
  • Proven success influencing and driving alignment across cross-functional teams resolving organizational barriers to success, and building consensus during a project lifecycle
  • Excellent verbal and visual communication ability, especially clearly illustrating technical information in a concise way to a non-technical audience
  • Proven strategic and tactical abilities, such as influencing colleagues and improvising to address challenging market conditions
Description
Develop a multifaceted understanding of the key barriers to growth facing global markets for renewable energy and carbon reduction, including forecasting industry trends and identifying changes in buyer and seller market dynamics Create conceptual models of investments and transactions to understand key risk factors and risk sharing amongst counterparties Construct financial models of energy and/or carbon reduction project investments and transactions demonstrating extraordinary quantitative ability and ownership of key assumptions, accounting and valuation methodologies Demonstrate quantitative and qualitative communication style to clearly convey risk-reward trade-offs amongst transaction options and help drive leadership decision-making Coordinate amongst Environmental Policy and Social Initiatives, Environment & Supply Chain Innovation, and Global Energy & Sustainability plus operations, procurement, finance, government affairs, public relations, tax and legal teams to champion, drive, and execute investments and transactions
Education & Experience
B.S. degree in related field. MBA preferred 5-10 years of relevant deal experience in infrastructure including banking, advisory, infrastructure fund, or independent power producer

Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $148,200.00 and $223,100.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
