Job Summary
As a Business Analysis Associate in the Platform Modernization Program team, you will be working in conjunction with our internal partners including Client Service, Advisors, Operations, Technology, Product, Business Management, Legal, Risk and Compliance. You will oversee monitoring incoming and outgoing payments for Private Bank clients, processing those transactions, investigating issues, liaising with correspondent banks and Front-Office to resolve issues. You are also responsible for processing a number of bookkeeping tickets instructed by various operational teams
Job responsibilities:
- Understand all relevant trading products, including equities, bonds, foreign exchange, and listed options.
- Facilitate issue resolution across teams by knowing the front-to-back operations process, including confirmations, settlements, and regulatory reporting.
- Recognize the impact of the trade support team's actions on other infrastructure groups, such as finance, market risk, credit risk, operational risk, legal, and collateral.
- Demonstrate effective leadership in strategic change management and process re-engineering, including technology-driven projects.
- Build relationships with and influence colleagues, business leaders, and functional partners.
- Leverage strong industry experience and understanding of standards implemented in the industry, while maintaining a network with industry peers.
- Adopt a consultative approach, understanding and anticipating business partner needs, and collaborate effectively with operations leaders and key partners.
- Drive critical thinking, seek out best practices, anticipate clients’ future needs, and collaborate on innovative ideas.
- Exhibit high motivation with strong people management skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Utilize knowledge of various automation tools and AI/ML understanding as an added advantage.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong project management experience in one or several of the operations area (back or middle office), ideally 5+ years in a reputable bank, fund administrator or financial institution across multiple jurisdictions, and looking to take on a new challenge in a growing, fast paced and ever-changing environment.
- Proven expertise in Asset servicing and more specifically in corporate actions management cross products (Securities, Mutual funds, Alternatives).
- Proven track record in implementing/integrating a core banking system, internally developed or from a third party vendor.
- Bachelor’s Degree holder; MBA or other post graduate degree
- At least 8 years of experience in Financial Services, Operations or management in Investment Banking Wealth Management. Securities Operations experience is preferred.
