JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Fire Alarm Technician for Building Automation here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of fire alarm systems as well as building automation systems in buildings. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems and building automation systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the overall safety, security, and efficiency of our customers' facilities. You will report directly to our Field Service Supervisor, and you'll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the safety and protection of our customers' assets and personnel.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, test, and commission fire alarm systems and building automation systems in accordance with design specifications and local codes

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of fire alarm systems and building automation systems to ensure proper functioning

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to fire alarm systems and building automation systems

  • Conduct system upgrades and modifications as required

  • Provide training and support to customers on the operation and maintenance of fire alarm systems and building automation systems

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 3+ years of Fire Alarm, Security and/or Building Automation Systems experience

  • Capability to independently manage tasks and effectively plan

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication and customer service skills

WE VALUE

  • NICET I or II Certification(s)

  • NIAGARA certification

  • Experience with Honeywell fire alarm systems

  • Extensive knowledge of Building Automation systems

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
