You will work on some lynchpin services in Microsoft Entra,e.g.traffic management, runtime platform (K8s) ormanagement. These services process millions of requests per second, powering hundreds of billions of authentications per day, and with challenging availability targets (>99.99%). You will be part of the team shipping critical software quickly and safely. This is a hands-on role, you will need to be a team player, equally comfortable designing the better mousetrap, and rolling up your sleeves to ship the new mousetrap from whiteboard into production.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of software engineering experience in Identity and/or Security domains.

These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

• Solid computer networking skills. Preferrably knowledge in newer protocols such as H2, H3, TLS1.3andgRPC.

• in debugginglivesiteproblems and building automation to runa high-scale service distributed system(e.greverse proxy)at >99.99% SLA.

• Experience withvarious webserverframeworks such as nginx, KestrelandHTTP.Sys.
• Prior experience with performance analysis and optimization of web services and software.
• Prior experience building services which run on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation. • Contributes to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.
• Creates and implements code for ateam shipping critical software quickly and safely.
• Contribute to technical direction for design and development of features, experiences & solutions for end-to-end business scenarios
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to build new features
• Support highly available services used by millions of users on a daily basis
• Work with support to triage and debug technical support requests
• Analyze how your features are performing in production to learn and make the product better
