Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies, business plans, and promotional activities to achieve sales targets for Biopharma Ruminants, Swine Portfolio, and Technology Portfolio within the given territory.
  • Team Leadership: Have regular contact with the team and provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to ensure their professional development. Conduct double-visits and implement training plans to enhance the team's capabilities. Measure the team's performance, guide them in Sales Force Excellence (SFE), and ensure accurate data updates in the CRM system.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis, identify market trends, and assess the competitive landscape to drive strategic decision-making and tap into new opportunities. Provide insights on market dynamics, customer needs, and potential product enhancements.
  • Customer Engagement and Key Accounts Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including veterinarians, key accounts, and partners. Act as a primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction. Administer, monitor, calculate, and evaluate customer loyalty programs for the business units to enhance customer engagement.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Livestock sector. This includes scouting for potential customers, partnerships, and market segments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies and execute business development plans to expand market share and drive revenue growth.
  • Product Portfolio Development: Collaborate with the Marketing team to identify market opportunities, develop product positioning, and support the launch of new products. Provide input into the development of the Livestock Business Unit's product portfolio, considering regional market needs.
  • Sales Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze sales performance, market share, and competitive activity. Identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to drive sales growth, optimize resource allocation, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all activities are conducted in line with compliance standards and adhering to company's code of conduct.
  • Budget Management: Manage the sales budget for the Livestock Business Unit in territory, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources while achieving business objectives. Monitor expenses, evaluate return on investment, and make recommendations for budget allocation adjustments.

Requirements:

  • Secondary education. A university degree (veterinary medicine, agriculture, life sciences or BA) is an asset
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a commercial position or other relevant experience, preferentially in the Animal Health market
  • Proven successful experience in leading and coaching people is an advantage
  • High level of personal motivation and results-oriented
  • Team player with leadership qualities and ability to work effectively cross-functionally
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a portion of constructive assertiveness
  • Good sales analytical skills and a strategic mindset
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Competent use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and in IT technology in general
  • Fluent English (verbal and written)
  • Ability to travel abroad 15%
