Key Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience with optical sensors and system
  • Strong computational imaging, image processing and computer vision fundamentals (object detection, segmentation, geometric correction)
  • Practical experience applying principles from geometrical and physical optics (e.g., lens modeling)
  • Proficiency with optical simulation tools (Zemax)
  • Familiarity with color science fundamentals
  • Hands on experience prototyping bench top optical systems
  • Programming fundamentals (C/C++), familiarity with Python, Bash, MATLAB
  • Self-motivated, independent, and takes initiative
  • Resourceful, prepared to champion work in front of a large group, and enjoys working in multi-functional teams
Description
You will work on introducing powerful technology to people around the world to make their life better. The ideal candidate will have had direct experience with optical imaging systems and/or extensive application with computer vision techniques. Day to day responsibilities may include: - Architecting image processing algorithms to extract relevant metrics from raw measurements- Automating operation of sophisticated measurement systems- Analyzing large data sets to extract critical knowledge on product performance- Providing streamlined and detailed presentations
Education & Experience
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Optics, etc.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $160,700.00 and $282,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
