The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing and processing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regional regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle and SAP, particularly in the India region, and will be adept at handling both domestic and foreign vendor payments. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Manage payment processing in Oracle and SAP for both domestic and foreign vendors.
Handle domestic payments, including customs duty, government payments, A1 import payments, and A2 payments.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of all payments in compliance with company policies and regional regulations.
Monitor and manage aging open items and cash reconciliation open items.
Perform TDS and GST RCM postings accurately and in a timely manner.
Conduct IDPMS and ORM cleanup activities.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Utilize Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for data analysis and reporting.
Work on AP KPI metrics and other MIS reports as required.
Support internal, external, and SOX audits.
Ensure adherence to company guidelines and signature approval policies.
Prioritize work and manage other tasks as assigned to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Maintain effective communication with the stakeholders, and bankers.
Participate in periodical calls with bankers, intercompany, and logistics teams to implement control measures and ensure smooth daily operations.
Support compliance activities and other region-specific requirements.
Define and implement efficiency measures for regular processes.
Continuously seek ways to improve the AP process and contribute to overall process optimization.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 2+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.
*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
CA/CA Inter/ master’s degree in finance / accounting with 6-8 years of experience (preferably in accounting environment)
Accounting experience in a multi-GAAP environment
Exposure in working in ERP instance Oracle & SAP, experience in Kyriba tool will be added advantage
Excellent written and verbal fluency in English
Ability to learn/understand standards & processes quickly and adhere to them accurately
Has good fundamental organization & prioritization skills
Flexible approach with a strong team spirit
Effective interpersonal & communication skills and good eye for detail
Comfortable delivering against quantitative and qualitative performance metrics.
Proficient IT skills including Excel and Outlook
Experience of working in large Multi-National Company will be an added advantage for the candidate.
