CACR Learning Steward & Associate Readiness leader is responsible for establishing the strategy and overseeing the learning plan for CACR. This not only includes the training plan for onboarding and continued learning, but also for associate readiness. This role is responsible for working to prioritize and revise the learning plan on an ongoing basis and work with internal and external stakeholders for delivery of the content. Responsible for establishing a communication and training program including proactive engagement with internal stakeholders and business support partners (HR and communications) for key business and process changes.
Responsibilities:
- Communicates Corporate Audit's mission, goals, and strategies, and the importance of operational effectiveness and drives continuous improvement while demonstrating a strategic mindset and leading and supporting change
- Oversees audit teams to ensure timely execution of the audit plan within quality standards and in conformance to audit policies and procedures
- Leverages a risk mindset to proactively identify risks, analyze themes, and continually evaluate areas of priority against the company’s risk profile and control environment
- Engages with senior leaders and influences business partners to balance business strategy with appropriate risk management controls
- Maintains relationships with regulatory agencies and leadership teams by proactively driving communications and discussing audit results
- Develops the audit coverage strategy and plan, assesses risks, and provides appropriate coverage for current and/or emerging risks for assigned areas
- Manages team performance by training and mentoring, and attracts, develops, and retains a diverse workforce through talent planning
- Partner with the academy to drive strategic direction of CACR learning and comply with company standards (learning council charter) and set annual training plan
- Endorsing LOB-initiated enterprise required, regulatory and cross-LOB training (could include training to FLU and CF’s)
- Reviewing, debating, and approving annual learning plan and changes throughout the year
- Reviewing and approving the audience for all learning needs and driving completion of all required learning
- Ensure training plan addresses skills gaps when identified including those identified through enterprise and business specific skill assessment results, quality assurance/business performance metrics and regulatory feedback.
- Establish communication and training plan for significant business and process changes across CACR – requires ongoing engagement with CACR stakeholders
- Coordinate across CACR to support team specific training needs
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent years of experience
- Minimum 10-15 years in an Audit / Assurance role or have a similar background
- Audit, Risk or Compliance experience in Financial Institutions.
- Strong understanding of technology, general controls, and other controls
- Sound organizational, analytical, oral, and written communication skills including ability to effectively write reports, present to management and various regulators.
- Ability to work in a matrix reporting structure.
- Ability to successfully communicate to influence management and lead change on both strategic and tactical initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with diverse teams.
- Sound organizational, analytical, oral, and written communication skills including ability to effectively document issue validation
- Understanding of audit practices and methodologies as well as rules for professional and ethical conduct.
- Ability to think critically and apply audit and technical expertise.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- Strong presentation skills.
- Professional certification preferred (e.g. CPA, CIA)
- Audit / Assurance or operational experience in large scale enterprise environment / financial institution.
