The Engineer will be responsible for assisting with the technical valuation for oil and gas clients across a multitude of projects specific to A&D, M&A and other strategic alternatives. The Engineer will be responsible for engineering specific aspects in the valuation workflow including PDP forecasting, type curve generation, LOS analysis, and development planning. The Engineer will also work on generating marketing materials, populating virtual data room, and assist with client interfacing in coordination with finance counterparts in the Global Energy Group.Responsibilities:
- Perform technical evaluations, including analyzing and delivering data to identify key performance drivers and economic analysis
- Generate presentation materials for pre-marketing documents and data room presentations using client or public data for support
- Lead or assist with the coordination of executing mandates and external project meetings, as required
- Perform engineering specific workflows such as PDP forecasting, type curve generation, LOS analysis, and development planning
- Work with rest of the A&D and finance teams to perform economic analysis
- Prepare data rooms based on data supplied by clients
- Market assets to potential buyers by presenting analysis to large groups and following up on buyer’s questions and answers
- Assist with miscellaneous technical project related duties, as required
- Assist with the development of new business activities
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 3-6+ years of experience in a related reservoir engineering role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Spotfire, economics software such as Aries and PHDWin and ComboCurve, and other analytical software and coding capabilities is a plus
- Ability to demonstrate discretion dealing with confidential matters
- Fundamental knowledge of cash flow, economics and rate of return
- Demonstrated ability to assess technical risk in economic valuations
- Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/project in a high-risk environment
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Proven influencing and relationship management skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
