We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to support CEO communications, as part of the Corporate Affairs organization. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a content strategy for the CEO, which includes overseeing his CEO executive communications, employee communications and overall thought leadership, ensuring that his voice and vision are effectively communicated across all internal and social media channels. This person will be part of the Corporate Affairs organization and work closely with the chief-of-staff to the CEO. The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing skills, a background in the technology or payments industries, ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, and a deep understanding of social media trends.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Content Creation: Develop engaging and impactful content that highlights the CEO’s thought leadership, corporate narrative, and industry insights.
  • Strategy Development: As the CEO’s executive communicator, become deeply engrained in the strategy and key initiatives for each of the lines of business to be able to effectively assess opportunities for CEO engagement and positioning. Manage the CEO’s internal brand and create proactive communications plans that demonstrate broad thought leadership and articulate how all of the innovations and initiatives ladder up to the overall corporate strategy.
  • Social Media Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy for the CEO, aligning with PayPal’s overall communication goals and brand voice.
  • Community Management: Monitor and manage the CEO’s social media accounts, engaging with followers, responding to comments, and fostering a positive online community.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze performance and engagement metrics to optimize content and strategy.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including PR, marketing, and executive communications, to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with broader company objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 12-15+ years of experience in social media management, communications, or public relations, with a focus on executive communications.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with social media analytics tools and platforms.

The US national annual pay range for this role is $196,500 to $291,500
