Responsibilities

  • Provide support in satellite communication (SatCom) system management and O&S activities abiding to the service level agreement.
  • Perform system health check and security monitoring.
  • Prepare, execute, and report preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Standby support for corrective maintenance and provide ad-hoc on-site support to client.
  • Lead, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities related to systems.
  • Support configuration obsolescence management.
  • Support patching of software when required.
  • Maintain and update relevant documents for records and audit purposes not limited to issues, change, and resolution documents.
  • Coordinate and liaise technical meetings with all stakeholders.
  • Incharge of vendor management where services are required.
  • Perform compliance assessment and reporting.
  • Provide support in Satcom system management and O&S activities to maintain Service Level Agreement.
  • Perform System health monitoring and security monitoring.
  • Prepare, execute and report preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Standby for corrective maintenance and provide ad-hoc on-site supports.

Requirement

  • BTech in Electronics and Communication, Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Experience in RF and SATCOM Systems is a must.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of working experience in an engineering role in project and service delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment, including spectrum and network analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes and power supplies.
  • Possess IT networking skills such as ability to repair / configure servers, IT peripherals.
  • Knowledge on different communication protocols at Network and Application level i.e. TCP/IP, HTTPS, SFTP, SNTP, etc.
  • Experience in Windows and Linux operating systems, network tool, and virtualization.
  • Some knowledge of mechanical engineering is useful.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Hands-on and ready to go on-site, able to work outside normal office hours occasionally.
  • Performing component level and board repairs.
  • Troubleshoot parts up to the board and component level.
  • An understanding of basic electrical/electronic theory, measurement and analysis methods including, antenna gain, return loss (VSWR), isolation.
  • Working with a range of RF-enabled devices including cell phone antennas, amplifiers, two-way radios, satellite systems, and internet access points.
  • Troubleshooting circuits used in RF transmission independently and with site engineers.
  • Identifying and repairing faults in finished assemblies making adjustments as required.
  • Identifying the causes of faults and work with on-site teams to implement preventative measures so that they do not happen again.
