Job Area:

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and strong Marketing leader to join Qualcomm as a Staff Manager, Marketing Strategy and Alignment. In this critical role, you will lead the Marketing strategy and alignment across Regions, Sales, Finance and Global Operations. You will lead the cross-functional Go-to-Market Council forum and work tightly with the Marketing leaders, regional leaders and cross-functional leaders to align on strategy, marketing investment priorities and maximize the return of Marketing programs across the globe.

This is an office-based position located in San Diego, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Marketing investment alignment across multiple stakeholders, including Marketing, Regional Marketing, Sales, Finance, Business Units and Global Operations

  • Lead the Go-to-Market Council forum across regions, businesses and funding sources; maximize the Marketing investment; drive decisions, represent Marketing’s global voice; and clearly communicate and document outcomes

  • Lead quarterly business reviews on Marketing programs across key business stakeholders; link program results to overall Marketing objectives; ensure regional programs are represented in the Marketing dashboard

  • Identify opportunities to drive stronger engagement across GTM Council members, drive operational excellence and effectiveness of the GTM Council and foster strong and collaborative relationships with cross-departmental council members

  • Closely collaborate with key regional marketing leaders, understand their 360 Marketing plans and represent their Marketing interests at HQ

  • Identify and create tools, templates, and ways of working to enable the teams to work smarter

  • Over see the investment, the management and the governance of the global Marketing non-opex investments

  • Assess MDF model and identify opportunities to drive greater return of MDF marketing programs; through building business cases and with tight collaboration and advocacy across Sales and Finance

  • Establish framework to expand the non-opex marketing investment across businesses through building business cases and showing results

  • Establish trusted relationships across Marketing team and cross-departmental stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 8+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

High school Diploma or equivalent and 10+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of budgeting, marketing investments and MDF

  • 15+ years in Marketing, Strategy, or related work experience

  • 10+ years working in a large matrixed organization

  • 5+ years driving collaboration and alignment across Marketing, Sales, Finance

  • Qualcomm knowledge a plus

  • Technology knowledge a plus

  • Ability to create and drive the “new and different” – create and produce breakthrough ideas, being a visionary, seeing and assessing multiple possible outcomes, have a broad interest and knowledge in the business; ability to gain support and drive new ideas to fruition

  • Decision making – ability to make quick, business-sound decisions; being resourceful in getting information needed to make decisions; ability to drive decisions in the absence of concrete data; ability to influence organization decisions

Pay range:

$161,500.00 - $242,500.00
