The Strategic Ledger Project Manager is expected to provide support in outlining, following an updating the project plan under the guidance of the Implementation Lead, plays a critical role in keeping the project on track, raising and escalating risks and issues to the project on a timely manner and perform other project management activities under the Process, Controls and Target Operating Model project.
What you’ll do
Manage projects under the guidance of the Strategic Ledger Implementation Lead including timelines, documentation, risk and issue management.
Identify, document, and understand project dependencies.
Recognize key stakeholders who participate in project scope definition.
Support Finance teams exploring key business processes, task ownership and controls for future release discovery.
Assist Finance end users in translating business activities to project deliverables – identifying required changes to implement and training requirements.
Become a system subject matter expert to ensure upskilling is right placed in the Controller’s organization and resistance is decreased over the implementation of Oracle.
Participate in the delivery of internal communications enabling the business officers to effectively service clients.
Act as a point of contact and liaison between department and required business areas for the implementation of activities to ensure accurate communication to clients.
What we’ll need from you
Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, Engineering or related field desired.
5+ years of relevant work experience with global corporations and financial services experience gained in Banking or in an associated consulting role.
2+ years of experience in successfully managing projects and programs through the full project lifecycle, from conception through rollout and ongoing support.
Experience in process design and operating model changes is an advantage.
Strong Program Lifecycle awareness and an understand of inputs critical for Implementation; particular focus on training, testing and post go live support.
Ability to build strong partnerships; communication and stakeholder managements skills are key.
Excellent oral and written communications skills in English.
High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for reporting and PowerPoint for presentation development.
