10.09.2024

By Joining Citi, you will become part of a global organisation whose mission is to serve as a trusted partner to our clients by responsibly providing financial services that enable growth and economic progress.

The Strategic Ledger Programme has been established under the wider Citi Finance Transformation. The programme strategy is to adopt and implement global standard Oracle SaaS/Cloud based accounting and ledger platform (the “strategic ledger”). The outcome will be a robust global process, governance, and controls to ensure consistent and materially accurate, complete, and timely ledger data and results.

The Requirements Project Manager will be partnering with the Requirements Lead and leveraging all central tools and methods to industrialise and standardise the requirements gathering process across all Discovery teams. They will support the requirements lead who is the gate keeper for the Requirements Traceability Matrix document (RTM), help drive requirements session to discuss and agree localisations required, and validate that there is traceability across requirements, build and testing. This a VP level position in Citi.

What you’ll do

The Discovery team within the Strategic Ledger Programme plays a pivotal part in ensuring all scoping hypothesis to achieve a target state are thoroughly explored. There are 9 workstreams performing discovery work across 3 pillars, accounting, data and technology. At the end of discovery these workstreams would have produced a number of artifacts that will enable senior leaders to decide on scope and timeline for execution. The Strategic Ledger Programme Requirements Project Manager will be working with the Requirements Lead gathering requirements across the 3 pillars and support them in obtaining relevant sign offs before handing those over to the technology teams for design and build. The scope of the programme includes:

  • Centralise and standardise accounting into global accounting hubs and sub-ledgers.
  • Implement a standard sub ledger and general ledger for the firm.
  • Replace Citi’s current Operating and Reporting ledgers, including those embedded in bank-in-a-box platforms such as Flexcube.
  • Automate and streamline accounting and ledger processes and controls.
  • Address source data quality issues impacting ledgers in partnership with enterprise-wide data priorities.
  • Align contractual and instrument level balances and positions with financial balances.
  • Partner with the Strategic Ledger Implementation and the requirements lead to validate and agree requirements deferred from one release to the next, or to be deployed as part of remediation efforts.
  • Partner with workstream leads to agree requirements gathering approach and establish timelines.
  • Adopt existing programme governance and tools to lead the requirements gathering process, and sign offs.
  • Standardise and industrialise the process to manage the RTM (Requirements Traceability Matrix) and business requirements documents for future discovery projects in NAM, APAC and LATAM.
  • Partnership with different finance functions and technology to ensure all requirements are clear and agreed.
  • Support Strategic planning and execution of future releases.
  • Build strong relationships with Programme Office Leaders, workstream leads and technology.
  • Ensure consistency of requirements gathering process across all workstreams and finance areas.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
