Co-op Terms: January – June 2025

Eligibility Requirements: Ability to work in the United States without restriction

As a co-op at Boston Scientific, you will…

  • Support the development of Endoscopy systems that provide visualization during gastrointestinal procedures such as ERCP, EGD, and surgical cholangioscopy
  • Be part of the design team to:
    • Design and coordinate engineering experiments to evaluate performance characteristics of next-generation Endoscopy systems
    • Design, procure, and fabricate simple tooling and fixtures for testing
    • Investigate capital system prototypes for hardware and software anomalies
  • Work alongside R&D team including systems engineers, optical engineers, and electrical engineers
  • Perform basic statistical analyses on test data as necessary
  • Train on new processes and/or test procedures as needed

Your Qualifications:

  • B.S./M.S/PhD in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering with a focus on electromechanical device development. BS students must be graduating in 2026 or 2027.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internships or research experience in medical imaging or electromechanical device development
