- Helping clients plan their route to S/4HANA from their current landscape
- Re-defining a finance functions financial processes based on S/4HANA to reduce both Opex and Capex,
- Optimising Sales & Operations planning by utilising the possibilities of granular and real-time forecasting and data to improve insight, or
- Creating strategic insight by adopting SAP predictive analytics to better understand customer behaviour and prevent potential customer churn whilst growing the top line.
Your key responsibilities
At Senior Manager level, you will be leading project engagements working directly with Senior Stakeholders. You will also be responsible for all aspects of a client engagement, balancing commercial and operational risk against client requirements and contractual commitments.You will therefore be:
- Highly motivated
- Fluent in English and a good communicator with the ability to convey complex technical content in business language to board level
- Acts as an intermediary between the business and the technical community to understand business requirements and define the solution architecture required to translate business requirements into workable solutions
- Deliver the cost/benefits case
- Generate sales according to Technical Consulting targets and Mange profitable engagements
- A team player who is not only looking to enhance their own career, but recognises the value in developing others
- Act as mentor and counsellor to strengthening the team
- Support the capability lead to build the Finance practice.
Skills and attributes for success
You will have knowledge and experience of the following:
- SAP software solutions – Underpinned with strong functional process knowledge and an ability to contextualise technology and deliver business value
- System integration skills
- Testing skills for strategy development and oversight of execution
- Solution architecture skills
- Designing and delivering SAP solutions (incl. evidence of displaying thoughtful insight) in one or more of the following areas:
- SAP ECC
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP Finance
- SAP Project Systems
- SAP Group Reporting
- SAP Central Finance
- SAP Analytics, Performance Management and Reporting
- SAP Financial planning solutions – BPC and/or SAC for Planning
- SAP Portfolio and Project Management
- SAP Success Factors
- SAP Ariba
- SAP Concur
- SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and iRPA
- Be a respected authority on financial solutions (i.e. speaking at User Group events etc)
- Have experience of supporting pre-sales engagements and responding to RFP’s etc
To qualify for the role you must have
- Taught leadership capability and ability to architecture solutions
- The ability to Manage projects/programmes independently from ‘Discovery’ phase through to go-live by applying as well as technical and business knowledge
- The ability to structure teams, lead work streams and architect finance solutions
- The ability to define and evaluate end-to-end finance business processes and its integration with Procurement, Sales, Supply chain, Manufacturing, Payroll and HR etc.
- Ability to participate in presales activities and product demonstrations
- A deep understanding of the Technology Development Lifecycle
- Strong project management techniques experience with Waterfall, Hybrid-Agile and Agile methods (e.g. Scrum, Lean, Kanban)
- Willingness to travel as required in relation to working at Client Sites on specific engagements
Ideally, you’ll also have
- 12+ years experience in complex SAP delivery (ECC and S/4HANA)
- Be a qualified accountant or have a strong Finance background
- Holds SAP certifications
- An understanding of the SAP roadmap and industry trends
- Exposure to different market sectors would be advantageous
