JOB DESCRIPTION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with scientists to mature electromagnetic design concepts into engineered hardware solutions.
Own the design of electromagnetic components from concept to low volume production driving key stakeholder alignment during the development process.
Inform design decisions with analysis and hands on prototyping.
Create clear and concise documentation for electromagnetic designs

The annual base salary range for this position is $99,200.00 - $124,000.00 Please
note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers
various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and
responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

U.S. Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen to obtain and Maintain a security clearance

YOU MUST HAVE
US Citizenship to obtain or maintain a security clearance
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
Minimum 5 years’ experience using CAD for 3D design work (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, Catia, AutoCAD, etc.)
Experience designing for manufacturability and assembly
Competency in structural and thermal hand calculations
Ability to conduct tolerance analysis to inform design decisions
Strong visual, written, and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments WE VALUE
Master’s degree or degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
Strong visual, written, and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments
Experience with FEA software to perform structural and thermal analyses (ANSYS, COMSOL, Femap, etc.)
Strong troubleshooting skills (root cause analysis, failure analysis, non-conformances, etc.)
Ability to design and run experiments to inform hardware engineering decisions
Understanding of basic electrical components (resistors, capacitors, inductors, etc.)
Experience with cryogenic components and low temperature design considerations
Familiarity with design considerations for components in vacuum environments
Experience using MATLAB/Python for data processing, modeling, and analysis
Current security clearance for work on government contracts
