What You'll Do
This is a high-impact analytical, strategic and business operations role focused on shaping and growing Uber’s financial services business with strong initiatives mapped to Uber’s global payments strategy.
- Develop and implement a Program Strategy for Money Movement solutions in EMEA and APAC.
- Conduct market and competitor research to help shape our Financial Services vision.
- Analyze product, program and partnership performance using data to inform business decisions.
- Scale new and existing processes to allow the business to grow profitability.
- Monitor financial variances and identify trends stemming from the marketplace or user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Operations, Community Operations, Legal, Tax, Marketing etc. to improve processes and explore opportunities.
What You'll Need
- Problem solving - Ability to address issues involving people, processes, and data by identifying root causes and using logical, data-driven approaches.
- Strong analytical skills to set and track metrics effectively and derive insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
- Motivated self-starter that can work independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
- 3+ years of work experience in a high performing role in a startup, strategy, operations, analytics, payments/fintech, or consulting.
- Proficiency in SQL.
Bonus Points If
- Experience working in or an understanding of the key markets in APAC.
- Good communication skills that will allow you to clearly explain your work and participate in constructive debate.
- Interpersonal and influencing skills for effective partnerships across multiple levels and functions, internally and externally.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (statistics, mathematics, finance, economics, engineering, etc.) is a plus.
